Ultimate Bear Hunting has 4 featured bear hunts available. Hunt black bears in Michigan, Manitoba, New Mexico or New Brunswick.The multi-agency Louisiana Black Bear Reintroduction Program in east-central Louisiana wrapped up its ninth and final year this spring. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Black Bear Conservation Committee, Louisiana State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services were involved with this program.
Waste Pro and FWC partner to keep bears away from garbage - Jun. 11, 2009
Keeping garbage out of the paws of bears has just gotten a little easier for some folks in Franklin County in the Panhandle, thanks to Waste Pro, a little grant money and concerned residents. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hopes this initial effort becomes the model for other communities throughout the state where humans live in close proximity to bear habitat and other wildlife.
DNR Adopts New Bear Management Plan - Jun. 10, 2009
The Department of Natural Resources has adopted a new bear management plan that was developed after more than a year of public meetings and consultations. DNR Director Rebecca Humphries signed the document at a recent meeting of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission.

The Division of Wildlife Resources is recommending that a total of 316 hunting permits be available for Utah's 2009 spring and fall seasons. In 2008, a total of 299 permits were available.
Black Bear Hunter Shoots Grizzly By Mistake - Nov. 18, 2008
While black bear hunting on October 25th, Lawrence Lefebvre of Big Fork shot and killed what he believed was a black bear. When Lefebvre approached the dead bear, he realized that it was a grizzly. Lefebvre notified FWP officials immediately.
Tennessee's Bear Season Reopens Nov. 17 - Nov. 10, 2008
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. - Tennessee's 2008 black bear hunting season reopens Nov. 17 and continues through Nov. 20, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
