Grizzly Bear Hunting Methods

Blackstone Outfitters’ grizzly bear hunts are usually done with spot-and-stalk methods, ideally suited to the open mountain terrain of our area. This allows both ample time to evaluate the bear’s size, quality, and sex before committing to a stalk. We have also successfully hunted grizzly bears during horseback, backpack, and river-float hunts while pursuing other game.

Expert Guided Grizzly Bear Hunts

Our Yukon Grizzly bear hunts are available from August 1 through the end of the season as an add-on to our Dall/Fannin sheep or Alaska-Yukon moose hunts, although an exclusive grizzly hunt may be arranged upon request. Even as an add-on opportunity, grizzly hunts deliver a high-intensity experience, and we encourage hunters who tag out early on their primary species to take advantage of the chance to hunt one of the Yukon’s most respected trophies.
